Professional Backround

I have been a registered nurse for 42 years, with most of my career focused on labor and delivery nursing. I currently work at Elliot Hospital and have spent the past 39 years caring for families throughout our region. During that time, I have had the privilege of delivering many Goffstown residents who are now voters themselves!

Who are you, and what ties you to our community?

I grew up in Manchester and moved to Goffstown in 1992 with my husband, Joe, and our three children. All three of our children are graduates of Goffstown schools.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I have spent decades caring for families and building relationships throughout our community. My work in healthcare, my involvement with the Goffstown Mother's Club, and my years of fundraising for scholarships for Goffstown High School seniors have given me a deep appreciation for the people who make this community such a special place to live and raise a family.

Why are you running for State Representative right now?

I am running because I believe I can make a positive difference for Goffstown. Throughout my nursing career, I have learned the importance of listening, understanding people's concerns, and helping solve problems. I want to bring that same approach to Concord.

I believe there is a great deal at stake for our community, including the affordability of living in New Hampshire, the strength of our public schools, and access to quality healthcare. I want to be a strong voice for Goffstown families and ensure their concerns are heard at the State House.

What are the top 2–3 issues facing our district?

The issues I hear about most often are:

  • Property taxes and the overall cost of living.

  • Supporting strong public schools and educational opportunities for our children.

  • Protecting public health and access to healthcare for families, seniors, and residents throughout our community.

These issues affect families every day and will have a lasting impact on the future of Goffstown.

How would you address these issues?

To address concerns about taxes and affordability, I will work with both local leaders and fellow legislators to identify responsible ways to manage costs and reduce the burden on taxpayers.

To support education, I will advocate for policies that help ensure our schools have the resources they need to provide students with a high-quality education and prepare them for success.

To protect public health, I will support policies that improve health outcomes, strengthen access to healthcare, and help ensure residents can receive the care they need when they need it. I also support a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions and will support legislation that protects that right.

I fight for working families.

How will you represent all constituents—including those who may disagree with you?

I believe every constituent deserves to be heard and treated with respect. I will listen to residents before votes are cast, especially on issues that are important to them. Even when people disagree with me, I will take the time to explain my decisions and the reasons behind my votes.

My responsibility as a State Representative is to represent the people of the district, and I will always approach that responsibility with an open mind and a willingness to listen.

What values guide your decision-making?

When faced with difficult decisions, I will rely on my values, my experience, and my commitment to serving the people of Goffstown. My career as a nurse has taught me the importance of compassion, integrity, respect, and accountability.

I believe elected officials should focus on solving problems, treating others respectfully, and putting the interests of their constituents first.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I am a hard worker who genuinely cares about this community. For more than three decades, Goffstown has been my home, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people who live here.

If elected, I will work hard every day to bring the concerns of Goffstown residents to the State House and to represent our community in a positive and respectful way.

Vote for All 6

Goffstown elects four (4) representatives, plus another two (2) "floterial" representatives that we share with Weare. Remember to vote for all 6 Democrats—leaving a blank is an advantage for our opposition.
